Obstetricians
and Gynecologists remain an extremely high demand profession in which women’s’
health issues and concerns are generally being targeted and diagnosed. They are
often regarded as ‘OB/GYN’ physicians specialized in attending concerns related
to the female organ system. More often than not, their care is directed in diagnosing
the reproductive organs, cervical cancer, urinary tract infections, and hormone
disorders. Pregnant women refer to these doctors throughout pregnancy for
attending their needs: namely monitoring hormone levels, prescribing
appropriate medication, and keeping up with fetus’ health. Obstetricians and
gynecologists are educated in both roles and as such can practice medicine in
either area. They either open private practices, work in hospitals or other
medical facilities, they can also subspecialize in oncology, infertility, and
adolescent reproductive health.

I guess the OB/GYN Dr is not only important for women before and after marriage, he/she is in addition necessary mainly for married men; and that is by increasing their awareness regarding many mutual issues that affect both couple in their marital lives.
ReplyDeleteI am currently a pre-med student and an aspiring obstetrician. Last spring, I was very fortunate to do an information interview with a prominent gynecologist in Sugar Land, TX. She provided some very valuable insight into the successes and challenges of being a obgyn. She also mentioned that it was a very rewarding career because everyday, she is able to help other women and girls.
ReplyDeleteIt is very important that you find the right health professional as a woman. Gynecologists can do a number of things to ensure the health of someone, especially during pregnancy. They can also help with other health issues regarding reproductive organs and urinary problems.
